Having seen this building take shape, we were well-acquainted with its gridded facade of 4’ x 4’ x 2’ modules. Having chanced upon a beautiful architectural light on a visit to an international trade fair, we first undertook a study of how well it would suit our requirements. This entailed an assessment of the built-form, to note down which elevational modules had no spill-over light from the interiors that would dilute the effect of the fixture. Such a strategic application, rather than a mindless overall installation, also rationalised the economic outlay — and positively affected the project cost.
